French Grill suits the evening when the table wants a French restaurant first and a steakhouse second: the JW Marriott Hanoi's room, with seating for 82 and what the hotel calls the largest open kitchen in Hanoi, so you can watch the cooks at work. Its menu, led by chef Jean-François Nulli, runs from the Phở Beef Tartare, the dish Vietcetera named as its signature, to a USDA Prime ribeye and Japanese A5 wagyu. The Michelin Guide listed it as Selected in 2023, 2024 and 2025. For a celebration there are private rooms, and the wine list is long enough that the staff guide you through it.

The menu names its beef by origin and grade. From the United States, a Greater Omaha ribeye graded USDA Prime. From Australia, wagyu at MB4+ and MBS6+, and Sher Wagyu at MBS6/7. From Japan, Miyazaki wagyu at A5. The hotel says its ingredients come from its own organic farm in Đà Lạt or from France, the USA, Australia and Japan. No source mentions dry-ageing.

The menu lists the steaks under grilled dishes without naming the fuel. The one dish it marks as charcoal-grilled is a Noir de Bigorre pork rack, so it is not stated how the beef is cooked.

French Grill is the French restaurant of the JW Marriott Hanoi, in Từ Liêm. It was in the Michelin Guide's Hanoi selection in 2023, and Vietcetera reported in June 2025 that it was Michelin Selected for the third year running, by then presented as French Grill by Jean-François Nulli. Nulli is a French chef who, per a 2025 profile from Sun Group's Sun Paradise Land, worked in several restaurants in France holding two and three Michelin stars.
