For restaurants
Listed on Steakpedia
No paid rankings
A free seal for the 414 steakhouses in Steakpedia’s guide to 20 cities. It links to the restaurant’s own page on Steakpedia, where every fact has its source, and it says what the guide is: no restaurant pays to be listed, and nothing is ranked.
What the seal means
- 01
Free, always. No fee to be listed or to show the seal. A steakhouse cannot pay to be in the guide or to be placed higher.
- 02
Listed, not ranked. The seal says the restaurant is in the guide. It does not say “best”, “award” or a position.
- 03
It links back. The seal points to the restaurant’s own page on Steakpedia, where its facts and their sources are.
- 04
It comes down with the listing. If a restaurant closes or leaves the guide, the seal should come down.
How a steakhouse is chosen
- It is a steakhouse. Steak is the main trade of the house: American chophouses, Argentine and Uruguayan parrillas, Brazilian churrascarias, Basque asadores, Florentine grills, teppanyaki, yakiniku and Korean barbecue, British steakhouses and modern grills.
- It is open. At least one recent source (2025–2026) shows it is serving. A closed steakhouse loses its page; one whose status is not confirmed says so on its page.
- Every fact has a source. The restaurant’s own pages, guides, award lists and the press. What cannot be verified is printed as “not stated”, never guessed.
- One branch, one page. A large chain gets a page for a branch only when that branch is notable; otherwise it is named at the foot of the city page.
- No order of merit. Each city lists its steakhouses by name. The selections (“the longest-aged beef”, “steak over wood fire”…) print the rule that puts a steakhouse there. No scores, stars or positions.
- Nobody pays. No restaurant pays to be listed, written about, placed or visited.
The same rules are in the editorial policy and on who writes the notes.

Questions
Does it cost anything?
No. Being listed, the page and the seal are free. Steakpedia does not sell listings, positions or reviews.
Will showing the seal move our steakhouse up?
No. There is no ranking to move up: each city lists its steakhouses by name, and a selection only includes a steakhouse when a sourced fact fits its printed rule. The seal changes nothing on Steakpedia.
Can any restaurant use it?
Only a steakhouse that has its own page on Steakpedia, and the seal must link to that page so anyone can check it. If the restaurant closes or leaves the guide, the seal should come down.
A fact on our page is wrong or missing. How do we fix it?
Write to hello@steakpedia.com with the address of the page and a source (your website, a menu, an article). Corrections are free too, and each page shows the date it was last verified.
Can we change its colours or size?
The size, yes, keeping the proportions. The words and colours, no: use the light, dark or compact version, in English, Spanish or Vietnamese.
