Why go
Embers. Puerto Madero says the grill is the centerpiece of every experience. In Mexico City, its Argentine cuts are cooked a las brasas. The Polanco house sits on Presidente Masaryk, at the corner of Schiller. Watch Collecting Lifestyle describes it as the group's first restaurant, before others opened across the city, in other states and in Miami. It gives no year. Time Out México reviewed the house in 2012: brick walls, white tablecloths, photographs of an Argentine port, a second floor. Chilango, in 2017, called it part of a group with more than 20 years of experience. The menu sets steak beside fish and shellfish.

- Bife angosto (New York), 400 g / 14 ozSame list. Excélsior (2025) names the bife de chorizo and the New York Prime as the house's classic cuts.

- Mar y tierraMaine lobster with a 200 g / 7 oz USDA Prime filet.
- Costillas de cordero, 400 g / 14 ozLamb ribs from Australia, served on mashed potato.
02The beef
The menu labels its steaks Prime without naming the animal. Only two origins are stated: the 200 g / 7 oz filet is USDA Prime, and the lamb ribs come from Australia. Weights run from 200 g / 7 oz to 800 g / 28 oz. Every cut arrives with sautéed onions, charred chiles toreados and house sauces. Time Out (2012) named arrachera, rib eye, bife and wagyu. Chilango (2017) listed a Kobe filet, lomo and vacío among the popular plates. No source gives breed, feeding or aging, and the menu page publishes no prices.
03The fire
Embers. The Polanco page says the Prime steaks are grilled over embers. The menu says fish and shellfish are too. In 2012, Time Out saw the meat served on a grill to keep it hot. No source names the fuel, charcoal or wood. None describes the grill. Order the bife de chorizo.
04The story
The group's site gives no founding date. Watch Collecting Lifestyle, archived in 2019, says the first Puerto Madero opened in Polanco on Masaryk, close to Rincón Argentino, and that the name comes from the Puerto Madero district of Buenos Aires. It names no year. Time Out México (July 2012) rated the house 4 out of 5 and wrote that business people and politicians filled it; chef Mauricio Islas had designed the menu, and the average bill was about MXN 600 per person. In 2017, Chilango placed it in a group with more than 20 years behind it. Today the group lists branches in Polanco, San Ángel, Satélite, Mítikah and Bosques de las Lomas, and one in Cancún.
