For the evening when you want a steak at the table and a cut to take home, The Ninth Cut puts a full butcher's shop, a deli and a restaurant on the ground floor of the Novotel Al Barsha, on Sheikh Zayed Road. You walk in through the deli, pass the butchery, and reach the dining room through a hidden door, and from the table you can step back into the shop to choose the cut you want cooked. Time Out Dubai kept it in its 2026 steakhouse guide for that mix, and noted it works as well for lunch as for dinner. The menu crosses East and West, so a table can share fattoush and piri piri chicken livers before the steaks.

02The beef
The butchery is the starting point. Time Out Dubai lists oxtail, brisket and dry-aged cuts, plus lamb, chicken, veal and a house biltong, all sold to take home. The house says it sources from around the world and offers custom cuts; BBC Good Food Middle East describes a central walk-in chiller visible from both the shop and the dining room, and displays on breeds, regions and marinades. No source states the origin, breed, grade or aging days of the beef, so ask at the counter.

BBC Good Food Middle East describes an open kitchen with a volcano-like cook line on a rough stone base, its flames in view under a perforated metal canopy. No source names the fuel.
04The story
Le Petit Journal listed The Ninth Cut in February 2025 as recently opened. The house explains the name as going beyond the "traditional eight cuts" to "the cut that no one told you about." B3 Designers designed the space, with the secret door between shop and restaurant and a display of knives.
05The practical
