For the dinner where the table wants a show as much as a steak, this is the room built for it: cuts finished at the table, a steak served sizzling in butter, and a founder whose salting gesture traveled the world in January 2017. Nusret Gökçe, who began as a butcher's apprentice in his teens, opened Nusr-Et in Istanbul in 2010, and the Dubai house at the Four Seasons Resort on Jumeirah Beach followed in December 2014. In 2025 the group called it the most successful Nusr-Et anywhere, and closed it for two months, until Oct. 15, to rebuild the room. Order a cut to share and let the table watch.

01What to order

02The beef
The group's only statement on the beef is "world-standard meat". In 2015 Gökçe told FooDiva that the Dubai cuts were Australian and Japanese, Kobe wagyu included, and that every steak was simply charcoal-grilled with sea salt and ground pepper. The current Dubai menu sits on a QR platform that Steakpedia could not read, so neither origin nor grade is confirmed for 2026.
03The fire
A charcoal grill, which the group calls the heart of its kitchen. Several dishes are finished in front of the guest: the tartare, the Nusr-Et Special in its butter, the slicing and salting that made the founder known. In 2015 FooDiva described the steaks arriving on wooden butcher's blocks.
04The story
Gökçe opened the first Nusr-Et in Istanbul in 2010; at the end of 2011 Ferit Şahenk, owner of Doğuş Group, bought half of it for $6.8 million, per Milliyet. By January 2015 the Dubai restaurant at the Four Seasons was full, and FooDiva wrote that month that it had opened in December, with Gökçe flying in from Türkiye every week to walk the tables. The group now has more than 20 restaurants in eight countries. In 2025 the Dubai house closed from Aug. 15 to Oct. 15 for a full renovation, while guests were sent to the group's DIFC address. In March 2026, amid regional tensions, Gökçe flew back and said the Jumeirah Beach restaurant was open. In September 2026 the group also opened Saltbae Steak & Burger, a separate, more casual format, in The Dubai Mall.
05The practical

A Lunch Special at AED 180 (a starter, a main and a dessert) runs every day from 12:00 to 17:00, which is the gentler way in for a first visit. Private events start at 10 guests, through the Dubai events team. In 2015 FooDiva put dinner at AED 515 per person and up before wine. Reserving ahead is the safe course for a weekend evening.
