Why go
For a relaxed dinner of empanadas, a mixed grill to share and a bottle of Malbec, Buenos Aires is the Argentine grill on East 6th Street, between Avenues A and B. Latin Times wrote in 2023 that Ismael Alba, from Argentina, opened it because he felt no New York restaurant captured the way Buenos Aires eats; in 2009 Tasting Table said its owners aimed for the standards of Argentine parrillas and served grass-fed beef from Uruguay and Nebraska. Steakpedia could not read a 2025 or 2026 source confirming that it is still operating, so phone first.
