Why go

Chelsea Grill begins with the supplier list. Its menu says all the beef comes from trusted suppliers in the Peak District, elsewhere in the UK and in Italy, and the restaurant says its meat is butchered, aged and grilled in-house. It opened on Nov. 18, 2025 on King's Road, from the team behind Wild (Krokodilos, Pinna), and about five months later it was No. 55 in the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants 2026. The large cuts are priced by weight, so a table can order one bone-in steak and share it.

01What to order

02The beef

The menu names the regions but not the animals: beef from the Peak District, the UK and Italy, with no breed, feed or farm named. The restaurant states that it butchers and ages in-house. How long is not published. Restaurant Online reported in October 2026 that the sister Lucky Grill, built "on the Chelsea Grill model", dry-ages its steaks on site for up to 30 days; the figure for Chelsea Grill itself is not given. The one animal the menu does describe is in a starter: the carpaccio is ex-dairy cow. Wild Group, Restaurant Online added, works with farmers in the UK and Italy. The number: £16.50 per 100 g / 3.5 oz.

03The fire

Fire, smoke and ingredients are the restaurant's own three words. LH Magazine reported a bespoke grill and a hand-turned rotisserie for the poussin; Hot Dinners mentioned vegetables cooked overnight in ash and dry-aged fish. No source names the fuel or the grill's maker.

04The story

The site at 300 King's Road, on the Sloane Stanley estate, held Fantomas until August 2025, per Hot Dinners. Chelsea Grill opened there on Nov. 18, 2025 with chef Anton Vasilyev, formerly executive chef of the Basque restaurant Sugaar in Paris. In April 2026 it entered the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants at No. 55. In October 2026 Restaurant Online reported that Vasilyev had become executive chef of both Chelsea Grill and the new Lucky Grill in Kensington, which opened on Oct. 21, 2026.
