Why go
Wood fire. Aberdeen Angus. Twenty-one days. That is the whole brief, per Clarín and the Michelin Guide. The grill sits up front in an open kitchen. Chef Magalí Núñez came from Niño Gordo and La Carnicería. The name belongs to Michel Rolland, the French winemaker; the house calls itself the first and only restaurant in the world to bear his name. Seven shareholders opened it in January 2024. Rolland died in March 2026. The restaurant still carries his name, and Pearl lists it in the 2026 Michelin Buenos Aires selection. Sit near the fire.

04The story
The restaurant opened in January 2024; the official launch came with Rolland's visit to Buenos Aires, per Clarín, which reported that the shareholders, among them the jeweler Damián Colombo, spent seven months persuading him. Rolland had first come to Argentina in 1988, invited by Arnaldo Etchart, and went on to lead the Clos de los Siete project. He died in Bordeaux on March 20, 2026, aged 78. In 2024 the list held more than 50 labels, all from Rolland's estates in Mendoza and Salta, at ARS 28,000 to 236,000 a bottle; at the top sat five wines he made for each of his grandchildren, and Clos de los Siete was the most ordered. The website shows a Michelin mention for 2025 and 2026.
