Why go
The menu is a single dish. It arrives in two rounds, and the only question you will be asked is how you like your steak cooked. Le Relais de l'Entrecôte has served the same formula in Paris since 1959, and the Dubai house, opened on Jan. 10, 2025, inside the ME Dubai hotel at The Opus, copies it down to the rules: no reservations, a line at the door, a walnut salad, then sliced sirloin with fries and the family's secret sauce. In April 2026 Time Out Dubai still listed it at AED 155, second helping included.

01What to order
- The set menu, AED 155Green walnut salad in a light mustard vinaigrette, then sliced sirloin (the entrecôte) with fries, sauce and baguette. A second helping of steak, fries and sauce comes with the price.
- Your steak, cooked how you likeThe one question the waiter asks. Time Out notes that blue is on offer, which it calls a rarity in Dubai.
- ProfiterolesChoux buns with vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate sauce and toasted almonds; FACT calls them one of the most popular desserts.
- From the hand-written dessert listThe National counted about 20 options at opening, including crème brûlée, fruit tarts and a strawberry melba.
02The beef
Sirloin, served as the house's entrecôte: pre-sliced, under the sauce, with fries piled beside it. The National describes the sauce as herby and buttery, a closely guarded family recipe. No source names the origin, breed or grade of the beef, or whether it is aged.
03The fire
No source describes the kitchen's grill or fuel. The steak arrives already sliced.
04The story
The Paris original dates to 1959. The Dubai house replaced Basko in The Opus by Omniyat, the Zaha Hadid-designed building that holds the ME Dubai hotel, alongside Roka, Salmon Guru and The Maine Land Brasserie. The National wrote that the brand had first come to Dubai in 2015 and that this is the first exact replica of the Paris room; FooDiva had reviewed an earlier franchise at Dubai Festival City, at AED 125 per person, in a piece filed in December 2010. FACT, on the other hand, called the 2025 opening the brand's first foray into the Middle East. Time Out describes it as coming from London and Paris.
