Akabeko starts from one grade: Japanese wagyu at A5. It opened in June 2024 at voco Dubai The Palm, on Palm West Beach, owned by Hanabi Foods Group with executive chef Yosuke Matsuoka. The menu offers up to 12 cuts, lesser-known secondary ones included, grilled at the table by staff on smokeless grills imported from Japan; Business Traveller noted in November 2025 that the grill is a grid-iron, not charcoal. The name is the red cow of a folk legend from the Aizu region of Japan. Neither the farm nor the prefecture is published.

In November 2025 it opened Tuesday and Wednesday 12:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 23:00, Thursday to Sunday 12:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 24:00, and closed on Mondays; smart casual; phone +971 50 561 9899. On Oct. 29, 2026, its website, akabeko.ae, did not load and no 2026 source mentions the restaurant, so call before you go.
