Choose BLT Steak for the evening when you want a New York steakhouse menu and a Korean one on the same card. The hotel presents it as a steakhouse born in New York that reflects the vision of chef Laurent Tourondel, and the Korea Times reported it as the brand's second international branch, after Hong Kong. Beside dry-aged USDA Prime cuts sized for two or three, the menu lists domestic Hanwoo graded 1++, so one table can order across both. The house popover comes with every course menu, and the current JW Garden Dining Series brings in Kwonsooksoo, which the house presents as holding two Michelin stars ten years in a row, for a four-course, four-hands dinner that runs for four weeks only.

- Dry-aged T-bone, 750 g, or L-bone, 600 g₩260,000 and ₩220,000. The four-course weekend brunch, ₩120,000 a head, is built around sharing one: the L-bone for two or the T-bone for three.

03The beef
Two supply lines share the menu. The big cuts are USDA Prime and dry-aged: the rib eye, kkot-deungsim, at 360 g for ₩190,000, the porterhouse, the T-bone and the L-bone. The USDA Prime tenderloin, 180 g at ₩86,000, is not marked as dry-aged. The Korean side is domestic Hanwoo graded 1++: a 200 g tenderloin at ₩138,000 and the dry-aged striploin. The menu does not publish ageing days.

BLT Steak arrived with the hotel: the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, with 170 rooms, opened around 4 February 2014 with BLT Steak among its restaurants. The Korea Times has followed its themed evenings since — a 2018 'BLT Steak Night' with a Tuesday Black Angus chuck roast at ₩89,000 and a Friday chateaubriand at ₩148,000, and in February 2020 a ₩150,000 wine dinner around dry-aged USDA Prime sirloin.

You will find it on the second floor of the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, 279 Cheonggyecheon-ro. Weekday lunch is 11:30–14:30 (last order 13:30), weekend and holiday lunch 11:30–15:30 (last order 14:00), and dinner every day 18:00–22:00 (last order 20:45). The dress code is smart casual, and children are welcome from age 10, except in the private room, which carries a minimum spend of ₩800,000 at weekday lunch and ₩1,000,000 at dinner or weekends.
